|08:24 pm - Sunset on a Clear Day|
I was about to close the blinds this evening when I looked out and saw the sky with the most amazing pink and blue hues mixed together. I had to grab my camera-phone and dash out to capture it.
I do admit to a little photoshopping to enhance the saturation, but all it did was bring it back to how my eye saw it. There's two more photos if you click through to Flickr and look.
We haven't had a storm in days. I'm kinda missing them. The calm is almost unnerving when you know that storm season is far from over.
And yes, the above is both literal and metaphorical. ;)
I know what you mean about trying to make the image match the reality. So often we don't get the glorious color that was there in front of our eyes. Beautiful picture, Khyri.

Thanks, Mark! :)
Seeing the pictures of the stunning red sky (stunning pictures too) reminded me of a rhyme we used to say as kids which I updated for my kids. The rhyme was "Red sky at night shepherds delight," (a red sky was supposed to mean a fine day to follow), the update was "Red sky at night - Global warming!" Not as catchy but true!
Yes, it is metaphorical isn't it!
Very pretty picture. (-:
Photoshop? No problemo. There is no cheating, only art. :)
Cameras are still a crude approximation of the feline eye and brain interpretation. No harm in trying to photoshopping it up to Cat standards. Too bad you can't see all that I can see.
I tried to make a reply to your last reply but don't think it went through. Still learning the ropes here in LJ.

Re: feline eye
I noticed my reply to you disappeared into the ether. Not sure why. So yes, it would have been hard for you to reply to a reply that wasn't there...
Do you see the invisible flies that my kitten Sedona chases all evening?
I don't see any invisible flies but Mozart seems to find real bugs and spiders, plays with them and eats them. Does not seem to be harming his health or slowing him down. Am slowly getting him accustomed to the back yard bit by bit. Will have to get a cat door soon.
Oh, boy do I know how disturbing that deceptive calm can be!

Oh boy, considering what you just wrote about that I commented on, I think I know that you get exactly what I meant!
